Food
Since I did not want to get stuck eating snickers and ramen noodles, I decided the majority of my food resupply would be via mail. This was the most stressful aspect of planning this hike. Though, it will certainly be nice not to have to worry about food on the trail.
Purchasing five months worth of food is expensive. Buying in bulk, and taking major advantage of sales, I was able to purchase everything I needed for less than I expected.
Shipping food is very expensive, and trying to fit everything into a reasonably sized box takes trial and error. I planned on using USPS priority mail flat rate boxes. This limited how much room I had per box. I was really worried about not being able to fit enough calories into a box to make it worth my while. It all worked out though.
Each box will contain 5 days worth of resupply. Those few resupplies where I need more than 5 days worth I will receive two boxes. All total I will be receiving 25-30 resupply boxes.
My list of food resupply items are below:
weight/calories
This works out to around 3700 calories per day. Hopefully that will be enough to keep me from looking like Christian Bale's character in The Machinist. I also will be hitting all available restaurants along the way.

All packed
